We never really had much of an interest in sushi fillet knives and usually stick to the larger more versatile knives but this one caught our attention and we really took a bit of a shine too. It is simple, somewhat rustic looking but extremely sharp and has great balance. It slices through soft meats (steak, fish) effortlessly. It is a very nice knife to have in the kitchen and has a lovely vein engraving into the steel. It makes a lovely gift or a nice piece to add to your arsenal.
